A method for synthesizing 3,5-dichloroanisole from 1,3,5-trichloro-benzene is proved. The system is operated with an open expandable architecture of exchangeable standard PC components and uses a real-time operating system for hard real-time computing and with a user program which conforms to IEC 1131-3. When the mixing is retried, it may be accomplished by moving the musical data that has been saved in the saving area 12 back to the appropriate tracks and reproducing the musical data from those tracks, and by reproducing other musical data for which the parts have finished the mixing. Each modem combines an information signal with a message code signal to provide a code division multiplexed signal.
