Separate redundant pairs of power supplies are provided for each circuit board in a load sharing arrangement. Some aspects of the method further comprise: varying the applied voltage; and, modifying the resonant frequency in response to changes in the applied voltage. A fast acquisition subcircuit can also be used to temporarily underdampen the filter and improve overall performance of the phase lock loop circuit.
