A controller manipulates the switch between an open position and closed position, the closed position connects the jump start post to the battery and the open position disconnects the jump start post from the battery. Following said connection, an amount of power is transported from the at least one supply facility to the requesting facility, via the cables connected by means of the switching device. The feedback circuit may also adjust various parameters within the WDM system, including amplifier gain, attenuation, and power for one or more channels in the system.
