A system is presented for scanning entire books or document all at once using an adaptive process where the book or document has known fonts and unknown fonts. Multiple hypotheses for different combinations of mode and guard length that might have been used for the OFDM transmission are evaluated. The first network is a packet based communication network. Key properties are measured by the second set of sensors which allow a calibration offset to be applied the data measured by the first set of sensors.
