A multi-port memory device includes ports, banks, a global data bus, an inputoutput controller, mode register set, a clock generator, and a test IO controller. The hitch control system includes a spring-centered primary command lever which is manually moveable from a centered position to deflected positions, and which automatically returns to the centered position when released from a deflected position. The various optical ports are connected to each other and to a controller which includes an interface between the on-board infrared portion of the system and radio-frequency transceivers; the transceivers connect to RF antennas for communication with stations outside the aircraft.
