A card vending machine for vending a card, responsive to the taste of a user, such as a playing card, a karuta or a tarot card employed for a game synthesizes an image obtained by photographing an object and an image such as a mark of a playing card or a numeral and vends the same as a card. The memory for tracking these zones can be allocated at initialization and held since it is relatively small. In some embodiments, such a control system can include a phase detector configured to receive a reference signal and a feedback signal. The motive component moves along and through a pathway component having one or more embedded codes detectable by the motive component, the embedded codes providing information to the motive component to direct desired action of the motive component.
