A ceramic heater manufacturing method capable of preventing reflection of a laser beam at the time the performing trimming by irradiation using a laser beam and performing trimming of a resistance heating element or a conductor layer. The quarter wave retarder plate is disposed so that the emitted laser light passes through the quarter wave retarder plate prior to transmission of the emitted laser light through the optical transmission system. A layer of chromium is first deposited onto surfaces of the micro-machine and the micro-machine chip followed by a layer of gold. The lift cylinder is pivotably coupled to the frame assembly such that extension of the lift cylinder moves the lift arms with respect to the frame assembly about the frame pivot. The conditions include a temperature ranging from about ambient temperature up to about 90% of the melting point of the cubic halide, a pressure of from about 30,000 psi to about 200,000 psi, a pressing residence time of from about 5 minutes to about 120 minutes and an average cubic halide particle size of from about 60 micrometers to about 275 micrometers. Since the engine torque is controlled with inertia and friction discharged torque of each component part being taken into account, the upper limit of the torque inputted to an automatic transmission can be accurately controlled to the value of the allowable input torque of the automatic transmission.
