A method and apparatus are described for performing a Proximity-based Service by a ProSe-enabled user equipment in a cellular communication system. It is possible in this way to grow single crystals exhibiting remarkable scintillation properties. Other embodiments are disclosed. The present compositions are particularly useful as dielectric substrate material in microchips, multichip modules, laminated circuit boards, and printed wiring boards.
