A heated pet enclosure which allows for a heated area for a pet to lie upon during the cold weather seasons. The insert includes a substantially tubular central body containing the conductors and provided over at least a fraction of its length with a series of spacers bearing against an inside surface of the tubular coupling of the connection element so as to hold the central body at a distance from the inside surface. The control system may also be remotely controlled, using a computer, wireless communication, or other communication device.
