A new method is provided for the creation of a barrier-free copper interconnect. In order to reduce the hardware required by a measurement performed through the multiple sensors, a repeating drive pulse sequence is generated, which contains drive pulses for the emitter elements of the plurality of sensors. Each image is being encoded as a reference value and at least one differential pixel value. This provides a complete, uncompressed context of the data that is being transmitted.
