Each voltage regulation portion may include a first voltage regulator connected in series with a second voltage regulator that regulates the voltage if a short condition occurs within the first voltage regulator. A determination is made as to whether the identification transmission indicates a recognized vendor identifier. Techniques are also described for fall detection and reporting using an on-body sensing device.
