An imaging system is described that automates fulfillment of image photofinishing based on location. The machine is programmed with a path for the grinding wheel calculated to grind a smooth cutting edge for the blade, and programmed with perturbations to the path which vary the movement of the grinding wheel to grind a wavy cutting edge in the workpiece. The device also includes a rigid sleeve reciprocally slidably mounted on the endpiece between a first position, in which it allows access to the aperture, and a second position, in which it covers the aperture and exerts a compressive force for constricting the aperture and blocking access to the lower end of the cord.
