The non-uniform adhesive pattern creates regions free or substantially free of adhesive that permits the laminate to preferentially bend in those regions. An automatic identification process is carried out by placing the two devices in close proximity with one another, and transmitting very short range signals from the master apparatus, to be exclusively received by the slave apparatus.
