The first sub-filter pocket and the second sub-filter pocket each has a sub-pocket mouth that coincides with a portion of the pocket mouth, with sidewalls extending longitudinally therefrom to form an apex at the closed end of the filter pocket. The network maintains a corresponding state vector and predictive coefficient vector, and also predicts a frequency response for each selected sub-carrier. Typically, transitions in the first output signal combined with the state of the second output signal provide such information.
