In a UHF broadband antenna, a pair of dipole elements are provided. In the method, signals from at least a sensor designed to register an outside temperature are processed. The method may be used in conjunction with either acidification or sonication, or both. The wafers may have dielectric areas that are passivated by the exposure of the wafer to a plasma. The structure can be used as a capacitor, as a discrete transistor as a single-transistor amplifier or as a building block for more complex circuits.
