The present invention is a friction one-way clutch that may be used with automotive components such as a stator in a torque converter. The same device can be used alone on the threaded end of a bolt, or in conjunction with another device on the bolt head end, to locking the nut after tightening. There are at least two die blades around the anvil, the blades extending in a longitudinal direction, generally above and below opposite sides of the anvil surface to form a die aperture for the punch. The administrative channel bandwidth can be within or outside the signal channel bandwidth. Requests for materials to be delivered are delayed until the last possible moment for making the request to allow for these changes and to ensure that inventory is stored at a manufacturing line andor operation for minimum time prior to the time the material is needed.
