An inking unit for a rotary printing machine includes an ink fountain, a pivotable ink fountain holder in which the ink fountain is mounted, an ink ductor, and a pivotable ink ductor holder in which the ink ductor is mounted. The receiving tank includes a first chamber that receives arriving water and is under ambient pressure, and a second chamber that is connected to the first chamber and is under vacuum, into which the water collecting in the first chamber is aspirated and from which the water is eventually drained. There are no gaps between the memory cells and between the column select unit and the memory cells. Incorporating the interdigitated flow channels into the porous water transport plates and operating the fuel cell at a pressure differential allows the coolant water to saturate the water transport plates thereby forcing the reactant gases into the anode and cathode support plate. The use of a separate adaptor with two voltages simplifies the design and avoids heat problems.
