A reusable diaper is made of two sheets of fabric. The air is treated with mechanical filtration of particles larger than approximately 2 micron, ionizing with energetic ions, exposure to ultraviolet light radiation, and electrostatic precipitation of particles in the air inflow. The shield replaceably attaches to the torch, is self-darkening, and is a plate that is substantially inverted U-shaped to straddle the torch to provide shielding not only above the torch but also to its sides.
