Each track has a track center comprising reference points for fine lateral positioning. Some preferred embodiments exploit the multilayer Shakes mask system: each mask represents a number of drops to fire, and masks are additive, depending on image content. This signal is then time-reversed and used to send a second signal towards the stimulator.
