A method and apparatus is described herein for pulse shift modulation of output waveforms for reducing crosstalk on interconnects. In one aspect, a method of processing a semiconductor substrate is provided that includes patterning a structure on the substrate and forming a protective coating on the patterned structure while leaving other surfaces on the substrate exposed. A cutter on the supply housing can sever a sheet from a leading end of the flexible strip. The system utilizes the perimeter receiver fiber optics to determine information regarding the height and angle of the probe with respect to the object being measured. The high-voltage power supply further includes: a high-voltage switching circuit for switching polarity of a DC output voltage generated on the secondary side of the high-voltage transformer; and a control circuit for controlling switching by the high-voltage switching circuit based on a load current that is caused to flow by application of the DC current output voltage.
