The invention is directed to a control element, particularly in a central control unit. The component also includes a thinned semiconductor die having a pattern of die contacts, and conductive members formed by filled openings in the die contacts and the die. In another embodiment, the method further includes depositing an aluminum oxide layer over the substrate prior to depositing the hafnium oxide layer, and then annealing the substrate. The system may also operate small peripheral lights around the edge of one or more drums, the peripheral lighting being programmable to produce various moving patterns. The method affords the use of dual-energy scans without losing the high time resolution available in dual-source systems.
