A micro-surgical forceps having a handle and integral spring arms that are interconnected at the end of the forceps remote from said blades in a tongue and groove arrangement that allows for operation of the forceps with a minimum of finger pressure. The opening is then filled with a metallic material. Accordingly, the validity of the signal outputted from the device can be measured without any expensive external measuring device.
