A method of transmitting power information in a wireless communication system is provided. Through altering the degree of mode conformity between the fields reaching the collection optics and the field distributions of the propagation modes of optical waveguides the disclosed method can be used to suppress the collection of short-range light originated near the collection optics while permitting unimpeded collection of light originated from sites substantially behind turbid media. Some embodiments provide a variant of the scheme to provide a differentiated distribution on the basis of one or more differentiating factors. This optical image stabilizer is simple in structure and easy to control, so it can be mounted in devices in which installation spaces are limited, like small digital cameras and mobile terminals.
